Amazon Lookout For Metrics Is Now Generally Available

Amazon Lookout for Metrics uses machine learning and AI to automatically detect and diagnose anomalies in your business and operational data.

Recently, Amazon announced the general availability of Lookout for Metrics to all AWS customers.

Lookout for Metrics is a ML service that enables you to detects anomalies or unexpected changes in your metrics. It helps you proactively monitor the health of your business, diagnose issues and find opportunities quickly (Without any ML experience).

Lookout for Metrics helps customers quickly identify the root-cause using the same technology used by Amazon internally to detect anomalies in its metrics. It automatically connects to 19 data sources including popular AWS services like S3, CloudWatch, Redshift and RDS, and SaaS applications such as Salesforce, Marketo and Amplitude, to continuously monitor metrics that customers care about.

Amazon Lookout for Metrics detects anomalies with high accuracy using Machine Learning, leading to lower false alarms and fewer cases of missed anomalies. It groups related anomalies to help customers identify the root cause, and ranks them in the order of severity, so that customers can focus on what matters the most.

Lookout for Metrics sends you alerts via channels such as SNS, Datadog, PagerDuty, Webhooks and Slack, or triggers custom actions using Lambda. It also learns from your feedback on detected anomalies to tune the results and improve accuracy continuously.

Amazon Lookout for Metrics is available directly via the AWS console, the AWS SDKs, and the AWS CLI. It is also compatible with AWS CloudFormation and can be used in compliance with the European Union’s GDPR. The service is currently available in US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), US West (Oregon), EU (Ireland), EU (Frankfurt), EU (Stockholm), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney), and Asia Pacific (Tokyo).
