Apple May Remove USB Port On New MacBook Pro

It seems that Apple might be on the quest for another innovation, as per the reports by Macotakara, which suggest that the new MacBook Pro, launching at this month's end, might ditch the standard USB port in favor of USB Type C. Macotakara was among the first to predict that the iPhone 7 would come without headphone jack.
The website also claims that with the USB port, Apple might also remove the MagSafe 2 as well as Thunderbolt 2 ports. The new MacBook is rumored to come with the support of Thunderbolt 3. This means that you will most likely need to charge the laptop through the USB-C port or Thunderbolt 3. You will, however, need to resort to some sort of USB 3.0 adapter as most of the peripheral devices still use the traditional standard.
Macotakara has furthered reported that Apple will unveil the latest MacBook Pro at an event sometime this month. However, as per the rumors, the device will be available in 15.4-inch and 13.3-inch models. The reports further suggests that Apple will also be releasing a next gen 13.3-inch MacBook Air, but while discontinuing its 11-inch model, most likely.
However, the earlier reports about the company’s new lineup of laptops hinted that just like the iPhone 7, Apple might also consider removing the standard headphone jack on the MacBook Pros.
Currently, Apple is selling its own USB Type C dock with ports for USB 3.0, USB-C for charging along with HDMI, which comes with a price of $79.

Well, let's wait and watch what more Apple has to offer along with this rumored feature.
