The built-in GPS in the Apple Watch Series 2 helps in recording the exact distance, pace, and speed for outdoor workouts, such as running, walking, and cycling. This device uses Wi-Fi, GPS, and locally stored satellite data, so as to immediately identify the users’ location. Once you complete the outdoor workout, you will be able to view the route map. This will show variations in speed in the Activity app on the iPhone.

The company states,

“Apple Watch Series 2 also features a dramatically brighter display — at 1,000 nits, it’s more than two times brighter— making this the brightest display Apple has ever shipped, so it’s even easier to see important information at a glance when outside on a sunny day.”

The watchOS features noticeably improved performance, which will make it simpler to launch favorite apps immediately, either from the watch face or with the new Dock displaying the latest information that's already been updated in the background.
