Chalkup Joins Microsoft Education

Class collaboration platform, Chalkup has recently announced that it has joined Microsoft Education for building amazing education products. However, it seems just a collaboration not a merger, for the benefits of teachers and learners.
Chalkup’s co-founder, Justin Chando informs that June 30, 2018, the company will be ending all its services so that to focus all their efforts on bringing up Microsoft Education products. The company has also stopped accepting sign-ups of new teachers for now.
Justin Chando states,
“In spending time with the amazing people at Microsoft, it was clear that we were completely aligned in our mission for connecting classrooms, sparking student collaboration, and finding new and innovative ways to work together. We knew Microsoft would be a great fit and we’re thrilled for what the future holds for our customers.”
Chando praises the Microsoft Teams for Education also for its ultimate product lineup. Here is an excerpt from his blog post.
“If you’ve liked using Chalkup, we think you’ll love Microsoft Teams for Education. Microsoft Teams shares many of the same principles for collaborative learning as Chalkup and includes seamless class discussions, chat, and integrated assignments and grading functionality. Also included is Microsoft Learning Tools which are free tools that implement proven techniques to improve reading and writing for students regardless of their age or ability.”
The company also assures that the functionality of the Chalkup platform will not change until it gets shut down at the end of July. The teachers will be able to run and complete their Chalkup courses for the rest of the school years.

This seems to be a wonderful starting of a new venture for the betterment of education, especially, for the underprivileged. We hope to see more of these kinds of collaborations in near future, in a mission to make this world a better place to live.
Chalkup is not accepting new registrations for teachers but you can join hands with Microsoft Teams for being a co-traveler on this amazing journey of the two brand names of the Education industry.
