Cloudflare Announces GA Of Pages

The GA release also brings several new features including web analytics, built-in redirects, live previews, protected previews, and optimized images.

Recently, Cloudflare announced the General Availablity of Cloudflare Pages, which is a fast, secure, and free way to build, host, and collaborate on Jamstack sites.

The GA release also brings several new features including web analytics, built-in redirects, live previews, protected previews, and optimized images.

Cloudflare said that Pages radically simplifies the process of developing and deploying sites by taking care of all the tedious parts of web development. To getting started with Cloudflare Pages you just nee to connect your repository and select your framework and build commands. With every change, the solution generates a new preview link and posts it to the associated pull request. The preview link makes sharing your work with others easy.

With Pages, Cloudflare’s privacy-first Web Analytics are available to answer all of the questions for successfully running your website at scale. You can enable analytics with a single click and start tracking your site’s progress and performance, including metrics about the traffic and web core vitals.

The solution also simplifies collaboration by generating unique preview URLs for each commit. These preview URLs make it easy for you or anyone on your team to check out your work in progress, take it for a spin, and provide feedback before the changes go live.

The Cloudflare Tunnel feature enables you to expose your localhost via a secure tunnel to an easily shareable URL. So users can get live feedback from their teammates before they commit.

Cloudflare said that one of the real killer features of Pages is the performance and reliability. One of the best ways to improve your site performance is by serving smaller content, which takes less time to transfer. The release has introduced two types of compression to Pages: Image compression, and Gzip and Brotli.

Now, the new optimization will also appropriately resize the image based on whether the device is mobile or desktop.
