Create your own maps with Google Maps Engine Lite.

Google launched a new mapping platform Google Maps Engine Lite, which offers an informal map formation tool for those who haven't got the coding abilities to use the Google Maps API, reports The Verge.

The tool is proposed for non-business consumers, and lets anybody to make their own map, supporting data upload via spreadsheets. Once the data is added, the map can be customized with drawing and style options, and a maximum of three data sets can be added for comparison. Google says it will still offer My Maps, its former custom mapping tool, for the time being and My Maps users can import their maps into the new Maps Engine Lite.

Meanwhile, Google is formally labeling Maps Engine Lite as a beta, and it’ll only be available in English at present.
