Facebook Workplace Launches A Facebook-Like Platform For Internal Company Communication

It seems that the competition of chat for business customers will get even stronger with the recent announcement by Facebook, which states that the company has launched a platform for Facebook Workplace, a product which comes with several features that are quite similar to Facebook, but used only for the purpose of internal communication in a company.
Now, businesses will be able to pull into Facebook Workplace software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions, customer relationship management (CRM) software, along with other products as well as software, which can be used for work. These will reportedly include Salesforce and Google, and productivity apps along with calendars.
Facebook Workplace, previously named Facebook at Work, was launched in October, after beta testing for two years with several users at companies, such as Club Med, Hootsuite as well as the Royal Bank of Scotland. Since the launch of Workplace, more than 100,000 new users have been added to the platform, which is a good start.
With the help of Custom Integrations, IT teams with the companies will now be able to make their own apps and integrations with CRM software, such as Zendesk, Salesforce as well as other apps the organizations use.
This version of the platform will not come with an enterprise app store, such as the Slack App Directory, and it is simply for the use of the IT teams, so as to make custom apps as well as integrations.
These apps will be able to post content to groups as well as create alerts and also control notifications which the employees would be able to view on the Workplace.
