Google Launches Bulletin

Google has recently announced a new service, Bulletin, which will allow users to contribute local stories and news about their community. "This is an effort from Google to bring out the untold inspiring stories,"  the company said.

Google has described Bulletin as

a free, lightweight app for telling a story by capturing photos, videoclips and text right from your phone, published straight to the web (without having to create a blog or build a website). If you are comfortable taking photos or sending messages, you can create a Bulletin story!

However, the service is not activated yet, but you can request an early access by registering hereThe early access form also reveals that the app will be available for all mobile users, not only for the Google’s legacy operating system, Android.

The service will be first available for Nashville, TN, and Oakland, CA. This is a very appreciable step by Google to bring out the local news and stories, but it will also contradict the company's take on eliminating fake news from the internet because Bulletin will encourage more fake news to be published. We hope, Google will address this issue of spamming and falsified news, however, as of now, we don't see any such information available.

Well, let’s hope for the best!
