Hyperledger Besu, The Latest Project To Join Hyperledger

Besu is a Java-based open-source Ethereum client designed under the Apache 2.0 license.

Recently, Hyperledger announced Hyperledger Besu as the latest project to join Hyperledger. Hyperledger Besu is a Java-based Ethereum client and is the first blockchain project submitted to Hyperledger that can operate on a public blockchain.
Besu is an open-source Ethereum client created under the Apache 2.0 license. It is written in Java and can be run on the Ethereum public network or on private permissioned networks, as well as test networks. It has many consensus algorithms including PoW, PoA, and IBFT, and has extensive permissioning schemes designed specifically for uses in a consortium environment.

Hyperledger said that Besu is devised to be as modular as possible, with a separation of concerns between consensus algorithms and other essential blockchain features, making these elements easy to upgrade or implement.
Besu carries a command-line interface as well as HTTP- and WebSocket-based APIs for running, maintaining, and monitoring nodes in an Ethereum network.
