Know Your MVP - Ibrahim Ersoy

This week's C# Corner MVP featured is Ibrahim Ersoy who spearheaded the first C# Corner Chapter in Turkey.

1. What is your name?

2. Tell us a little bit about yourself
Im 29 years old software developer living in Turkey, Istanbul. Working for one of the top tech companies in Turkey: BilgeAdam. I like Windows Store,Windows Phone,SharePoint 2013 Development. I have  C# Corner MVP title a couple of times and NVidia GPU Computing Developer title and experience(which is no longer available) .If you come to Turkey one day, let me know ;)

3. How long have you been associated with C# Corner?

I've been a registered user since 2007 but actively contributed since 2009 lately im very busy with development projects so unable to write any post.
4. What makes you to be a part of C# Corner?

C# Corner is a community with full of experts within different disciplines of IT Industry. And I am glad that I am one of the thousands of masters. When I write for C# Corner, I know that my posts, blogs, articles will be read by millions and helped many people who experienced hard situations. To know people have taken me seriously makes me want to contribute more and more. That is what motivates me :)
5. How does C# Corner has helped you personally?

By using C# Corner, I learnt most of my knowledge I hold today. By reading many articles here I improved my coding and general knowledge about development. Besides learning, I've met many awesome people like Mahesh Chand, Dhananjay Kumar, Praveen Kumar, Abhimanyu K.Vatsa, Destin Joy, Suthish Nair, Kamal Rawat and many more I cant write here now :) We didnt meet in person but one day it will be, maybe C# Corner Summit 2014 :)
6. How does C# Corner has helped you professionally?

It helped me setup great network and people all around the world follow and thank me for the know-how I've shared until now. I like to help people. And because of that people like me :)
7. How would you explain C# Corner to a young student?
Becoming a famous developer or any other IT Disciplines isnt an adviced path. Never work in IT Industry to get more Money or more fame. This path leads to your own end. You'd feel guilty and be unhappy at the end. Learn, Study, Apply and Share. People will respect you in the end. Never get so high since you know something about IT, your fall would be a quick one! Sorry for demotivational thoughts of mine but expect the unexpected so that you can take alternative actions when you faced. You have to look a water-filled glass like its empty.

8. Can you tell us about your family background?
We're 3. 2 brother and 1 sister. I'm the youngest of them :) We lost our father when I was born. Since then my mother looked after us.

9. What do you do for fun?
When i'm really bored I drink Macchiato or Raspberry Blackcurrant Blended juice ( or find some activity to free my mind like playing PES 2013 at PS3 in the company or take a walk outside.

After weekend; I visit interesting places, take photos or if I've work to do, I'd stay at home and code like a warrior :)

10. What is your professional dream?
My only dream is to make a presentation(Windows Phone or Windows 8) at Build conference :) Well that's a dream :P

11. What is that "one thing" you want to change or add to C# Corner Community?
I wish there were more Turkish people in C# Corner. Since its in English language, they don't dare to contribute :) Forced some friends to write blogs but then they gave up :) Most of the people I know don't want to write large blogs after Twitter became popular. A large number of people don't really read blogs from start to end. They get what they want and leave. Time is important for them. So I'd love to see a Twitter like structure in C# Corner. Where we developers can share thoughts in a 150 letter-limit textbox, comment ,like or retweet. That would be a nice change ;)

12. If you are "GOD" and want to make one change to the world, what would that be?
That iss a very sensitive subject for me ,so I will answer a similar question: if I had billions of dollars I would place it on hunger & poverty. Lots of people die everyday because of this cursed thing.

13. Can you share that "one thing" you are proud of?
There hasn't been any proud moment for me. Just Happy Times :) I was really happy when I have been offered a great job in 2006 in Europe. I couldn't go there which is the greatest mistake of my life. But I intend to live some proud moments this year with my projects :)
