Lync is now 'Skype for Business'

Lync, the tool used to communicate for work is ready for its next release with the new name "Skype for Business".
Microsoft is set to release the next version of Lync as Skype for Business with a new client experience, new server release and updates to the service in Office 365 in the first half of 2015.
The more familiar Skype icons for calling, adding video and ending a call will also be available in this new version. The call monitor option in Skype is also included that keeps active calls visible even if we move the focus to another application.
Lync’s content sharing and telephony features are also included in Skype for Business.
No new hardware is required when updating Lync Server 2013 to the new Skype for Business Server. Office 365 customers will get updates with the new Skype for Business.
