Microsoft Announces Azure For Students

Are you a student? Microsoft has made it easy for you to build your own cloud-based apps and to harness the power of top-most company offerings. The company has announced a new cloud service, Azure for Students, with a whole lot of free benefits in terms of free subscriptions of Microsoft services and products for the students.

This is how the company defines Azure for Students,

“Azure for Students gets you started with $100 in Azure credits to be used within the first 12 months plus select free services (subject to change) without requiring a credit card at sign-up.

Over 25 products are free according to their period of availability and service limitations as long as your Azure subscription has more than $0 available credit or you have upgraded to a Pay-As-You-Go subscription.”

However, there are a few terms and conditions for availing this offer. You must be above 18 and must attend an accredited, degree-granting four-year educational institution as a full-time student or faculty in a STEM-related field, to be eligible for subscribing Azure for Students. Most importantly, the service is made available in more than 140 countries and students need no credit card to register for the subscription.
