Microsoft announced the availability of HoloLens development kit at the
Windows 10 devices event today. The device
first introduced in January this year. The
CEO of Microsoft, Satya Nadella hinted previously that a Development Edition would be available within the next year.
As per the announcement, HoloLens development kit will be available within the first quarter of 2016, priced at a whopping $3,000 (£2,000). Microsoft did not shared new information regarding its specifications. Earlier this year, the specifications stated, x86 processor, 2GB RAM, 802.11ac, and a 60Hz refresh rate.
A demo of a mixed reality game,
Project X-Ray, an augmented reality shooter was also showcased at the
live event.
