Recent news from Microsoft says that it has set Oct 31 as the end of sale date for the machines which are Windows 7 consumer grades (consumer grade includes Home Basic, Home Premium and Ultimate). And it has extended the end-of-sales date for all the business PCs that are running Windows 7 Professional.
 
Microsoft stops selling the older operating systems once it has launched its successor, and puts breaks, two years right after the launch of a new version, on the previous Windows edition to the original equipment manufacturers, it’s a practice that Microsoft has been following since 2010.
