Outlook 2013 RT coming to Surface RT later this year

Outlook 2013 RT will be coming with the free Windows RT 8.1 update later this year for Windows RT tablets as confirmed by Microsoft at Computex 2013, reports CNet. The app will sit alongside Word, PowerPoint and Excel as the applications from Office 2013 that are bundled with the operating system.

Surface RT and Surface Pro users will be getting some updates next week, too. The update will add more fn-key shortcuts to the keyboard, with shortcuts for screenshots and the ability to change the screen brightness. It will also add fn-lock mode, to keep the function keys working as F1-F12.

No other information was given today, but expects to learn more about Outlook 2013 in Windows RT at BUILD 2013, which is scheduled to occur later this month.
