Pinterest to Add New Business Services

San-Francisco-based Pinterest was founded in 2009 and since that time the picture-sharing service has amassed close to 40 million users worldwide, according to ComScore. Bloomberg reports that the company, which has yet to find a way to generate income, will now offer more services to businesses.

According to the report, new accounts with separate terms of service will make it easier for companies to register with Pinterest and may in the future provide analytics. Already, companies such as Whole Foods and Macy's use Pinterest to post recipes and new clothing, so the businesses are able to create fun ways to engage with customers on the web.

While Pinterest has not directly linked the new accounts to the development of its own business model, the company says that its eventual plan for profitability will be focused on further improvements to user experience.
