Power Automate Desktop For Windows 10 Is Now Available Free

Power Automate Desktop uses low-code RPA to help you in automating “busy work", similar to macros work in MS Office app.

Recently, Microsoft announced that desktop automation in Power Automate Desktop is now available to Windows 10 users at no additional cost.

As a Windows 10 user, you can now harness the power of low-code RPA by downloading Power Automate Desktop, and it will also be included in Windows Insider Preview builds in the coming weeks.

Well, Power Automate Desktop uses low-code RPA (no coding required) to help you in automating “busy work.”.  RPA works very similar to macros work in your MS Office app, by recording repetitive actions from your desktop across multiple applications. RPA can be applied to many applications like SharePoint, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and many third-party applications; as well as websites. It lets you replay the automation whenever needed.

For example, with Power Automate Desktop, users can automate the consolidation of data across multiple sources like a database, webpages, Excel files, PDFs, and more; to auto-generate a report based on their requirements.

You can get started with Power Automate Desktop very easily and build your desktop flow, using either prebuilt drag-and-drop actions or by recording your own desktop flows to run later. A drag and drop visual designer gives you more than 400 actions that run on your desktop, a recorder to capture clicks and mouse actions, along with a robust authoring experience to edit and modify the recordings.

You can extend Power Automate Desktop for Windows 10 one step further with capabilities in the Power Automate per user with Attended RPA plan. The plan enables automations across an organization to share and collaborate across flows. It gives access to more than 400 built-in connectors through cloud flows and helps you identify bottlenecks in your business processes with process advisor (preview). You can also extract data from documents in AI Builder, and manage and control flows with centralized governance.
