Red Hat OpenShift Now Supports GitHub Actions

Red Hat is adding its GitHub's Actions to the GitHub Marketplace, in order to bring GitHub’s DevOps, CI/CD, and developer workflow automation tools to Red Hat OpenShift.

Recently, Red Hat announced its extended collaboration with GitHub, emphasizing Red Hat OpenShift via GitHub Actions and more.

Red Hat said that it is adding Red Hat GitHub Actions to the GitHub Marketplace. This will bring GitHub’s DevOps, CI/CD and developer workflow automation tools to Red Hat OpenShift.  Adding Red Hat GitHub Actions to the GitHub Marketplace also refines the application development capabilities of Kubernetes platform with GitHub Actions.

According to Red Hat, this collaboration will enable organizations to standardize and scale their use of open, standardized developer toolchain components such as, Quay, Buildah, or Source-to-Image (s2i). Users will now be able to achieve simple as well as complex application workflows on Red Hat’s enterprise Kubernetes platform using an extensive array of standards-based tools.

Apart from Actions and GitHub Marketplace, Red Hat and GitHub together are also exploring self-hosted GitHub runners for OpenShift.
