UWP Community Toolkit v2.2 Released

Microsoft recently announced the new version of UWP Community Toolkit v2.2. The company gives the credit of this release to the community working on the support and improvement of the Toolkit.
This new version of Toolkit comes with several new features including -
Microsoft.Toolkit.Parsers and MarkdownTextBlock
V2.2 comes with a new .NET Standard package: Microsoft.Toolkit.Parsers including parsers for markdown and RSS used platforms supporting .NET Standard 1.4 or above.
In addition, the MarkdownTextBlock control is leveraging the new renderer and in addition supports:
  • Code syntax highlighting
  • SVG images and image width/height syntax
  • Relative URIs for images and links
  • Comments and more

Staggered panel
The new panel has been introduced in the new version which enables the staggered layout adding the items to columns using least amount of space.

XAML Brushes
This new version of toolkit introduces a new namespace as Microsoft.Toolkit.Uwp.UI.Media adding 7 new composition based brushes.

MSAL support and cross-platform Microsoft Graph and OneDrive service
The .NET Standard version now supports Microsoft Authentication Library (MSAL). The new service is introduced in Microsoft.Toolkit.Service package.

Notifications package support for My People shoulder taps
The latest update also includes a new toast feature for My People shoulder taps helping developers as it can be enabled in the app easily.
