The release makes it simpler to find common information in the Locals tool window. While inspecting code on a breakpoint now you’ll find all the objects in the current scene under the Active Scene node.

Visual Studio 2019 for Mac version 8.9 includes a preview of a new Quick Actions and Refactorings menu. You see it if you are applying suggested code fixes or refactoring to your code. This is an early preview with more UI changes to come soon.

The release also introduces several useful new actions to Quick Actions and Refactorings to help you write code faster. Now, Quick Info displays compiler warning IDs or numbers for suppressions. You can hover your cursor over the warning IDs or numbers to view Quick Info for the diagnostic ID. You will get also IntelliSense completion for preprocessor symbols.

Another big update in is the new XML Editor. It builds on top of the modern editor experience in Visual Studio for Mac. You can share code with Visual Studio on Windows for common features like IntelliSense, text logic, and language services.

As the Xamarin.Forms "changes only" XAML Hot Reload is now GA quality. Now, apps targeting Xamarin.Forms 5.0 or newer will use this mode by default.
