VS 2019 For Mac v8.7 Released

Version 8.7 brings support for gRPC / OpenAPI client generation and improved unit testing integration.

Microsoft announced the availability of Visual Studio 2019 for Mac version 8.7. This latest release features support for gRPC / OpenAPI client generation and improved unit testing integration.
8.7 brings several improvements for Xamarin developers, including Xamarin.Forms 4.8 Support. The release also brings initial support for macOS Big Sur.
Support for generating an API client from an OpenAPI or gRPC service enables you to generate the client from a local file or URL, manage service references, and regenerate the client code if the service changes.

Now when editing a C# class that includes unit tests, you can run tests using the "Run Test(s)" item in a context menu by right-clicking in the file, the body of a test class, or the body of a test method. The context menu for the editor has been updated to include Run/Debug Test options.

The release also brings more Unity-specific diagnostics to help developers catch problematic code sooner. New diagnostics also include suggested code fixes that users can apply automatically.
The release also includes additional support for Xamarin Forms 4.8. For now, this update to Xamarin.Forms is primarily focused on stabilizing current features, moving experimental features to stable, and delivering Gradient Brush support.
Version 8.7 is also introducing several useful new actions to Quick Actions and Refactorings such as Generate comparison operators for types that implement IComparable, IntelliSense completion in DateTime and TimeSpan string literals, and Generate properties when generating a constructor in a type.
