VS 2019 For Mac version 8.4 Preview 4 Released

Visual Studio 2019 For Mac version 8.4 Preview 4 brings support for .NET Core 3.1 and Scaffolding support for ASP.NET Core projects.

Recently, Microsoft released VS 2019 for Mac version 8.4 Preview 4, which brings support for the latest stable version of .NET Core, Scaffolding support for ASP.NET Core projects, and improvements to overall product accessibility.
 
If you want to try out the preview, download and install the latest version of Visual Studio 2019 for Mac, and switch to the Preview channel in the IDE.
 
This release comes with official support for the newly released .NET Core 3.1. Updating to Preview 4 will install the .NET Core 3.1 SDK.
 
The company also said that this release is not "go-live" and not intended for use on production computers or for creating production code.
 
The enhancements to accessibility of the ID include:
  • Refining focus order when navigating with assistive technologies
  • Increasing color contrast ratios for text and icons
  • Eliminating keyboard traps that hinder navigation of the IDE
  • More accurate VoiceOver reading and navigation
  • Rewriting inaccessible components of the IDE with accessibility in mind
Microsoft said that the new release enables Scaffolding for ASP.NET Core projects in VS for Mac. This makes ASP.NET Core app development easier and faster by generating boilerplate code for common scenarios.

To try out the new Scaffolding feature in VS for Mac, just click on the New Scaffolding entry in the Add flyout of the project context menu.
 
The node on which you opened the right-click context menu will be the section where the generated files will be stored. And you’ll get a Scaffolding wizard to assist you generate code into your project.
