Windows Phone Ready To Screencast To Your TV

At Lumia event is coming on Sept 04 you are most likely to see Screencast feature added to Windows Phone.

Miracast is a standard that lets you share content including photos, screens, videos and other files across multiple devices over Wi-Fi Direct. Miracast-certified products are being adopted by several device manufactures including Samsung, Sony, and LG. Samsung’s Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II and later product line fully supports Miracast and so LG Optimus G.

Now, Miracast support is coming to Windows Phone. Microsoft recently added Miracast support to Windows Phone via the Lumia Cyan firmware for Windows Phone 8.1. Using this support, you will be able to project your phone content to a TV, similar to what Apple has AirPlay and Google has Google Chromecast.

Micrososft’s Lumia event is coming on Sept 04 and most probably you may see an announcement on the same.

The Lumia Cyan feature was added to Windows Phone 8.1 and it features like a more personal Start screen, Action Center and the Word Flow keyboard.
