Xamarin.Forms 4.3.0 Brings CollectionView

Microsoft has rolled out Xamarin.Forms 4.3.0 with CollectionView in stable and a bunch of enhancements.

Recently, Microsoft announced the stable release of Xamarin.Forms 4.3.0 which moves CollectionView into stable status. The release also features a number of enhancements like SourceLink support, the ability to display HTML on Labels, and more.

The team said that with Xamarin.Forms 4.3.0, developers can now use CollectionView in their apps without the need for the Experimental flag enabled.

The new release also introduces RefreshView, which offers pull-to-refresh functionality to any child that supports scrollable content:
  1. <RefreshView IsRefreshing="{Binding IsRefreshing}"
  2. Command="{Binding RefreshCommand}">
  3. <CollectionView ItemsSource="{Binding Animals}">
  4. ...
  5. </CollectionView>
  6. </RefreshView>
4.3 also adds support for SourceLink to Xamarin.Forms, which lets you easily step into the source code for a first-class debugging experience.

You can now also set the TextType property on the Label to Html, which will enable your string values to be parsed as HTML. This then displays appropriately on a Label.
