forget password control in visual studio 2010

i am using visual studio 2010 and i developed a website but when i use the forget password control it unable to send password to my mail..

here some notable points are that i am using localhost it means i have not hosted in server and i use the asp.net web application to use login control create

user and also for forget password setting so pls geniuses help me about this mattr
