To support our growth, Creation Technologies is seeking an intermediate level ASP.Net Web Developer to join our office in Burnaby, BC.
Our enterprise web framework consists of multiple servers and sites performing an array of roles including everything from internal databases, external facing customer portals, and internal SharePoint servers to various custom web applications and our Oracle E-Business Suite system. These applications are consumed and used in multiple locations across North America and China.
In this role, your main responsibility will be to oversee, maintain, and develop a host of internal enterprise ASP.Net web applications. Although you will be based in our Burnaby office, you must be comfortable working and communicating “online” with our development teams, as they are located in different business units across North America.
As an action oriented self-starter, you will have the following duties:
- Work with our Software Development SCRUM teams to code, test, and implement features and User Stories as required by our Business Analysts and Product Owners;
- Code new features, reports, and web forms in a variety of Microsoft web platforms;
- Develop and maintain site graphics;
- Participate in daily SCRUM meetings, as well as product design and planning meetings;
- Perform bug fixes;
- Ensure web sites are up and running;
- Employ industry best practices to maintain applications to modern standards; and
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as required.
In order to be a good fit for the role, you must satisfy the following requirement:
- Proficiency in Asp.Net Web Forms, MVC, in Visual Basic, C#, and Classic ASP VBScript. ADO.Net, Linq-to-SQL, Sql Server T-SQL, and IIS is a must.
In addition, if you have the following, it would be considered an asset, but are not required:
- Oracle Database PLSQL, SharePoint 2010-2013 development, ASMX web services and WCF;
- Windows Forms development in VB or C#; and
- Experience in application development in a Manufacturing environment.
