The Data Architect will design, maintain and build conceptual, logical and physical database models. The Database Architect will also be responsible for the planning, installation, configuration, maintenance and production monitoring of database instances.

Possible Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain, and document all tables, views, snapshots and other database objects created for development
  • Analyze and process complex data from varied sources to confirm its referential integrity to logical and physical models
  • Provide technical and data leadership to the application development group, IT and the enterprise including being conversant with and cognizant of the future direction of systems, how that direction will impact the enterprise, and how future and current systems can be exploited for the benefit of the enterprise
  • Design, implement, and document shell scripts and PL/SQL procedures to execute loads into databases
  • Manage, maintain, and document client, schema, and program codes common between clients and internal databases

Requirements:

  • Data Architect experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2008 & 2012).
  • 5 years of continuous data architecture and data modeling, with at least 3 recent years of primary data architecture design and implementation responsibility
  • 7 + years Database Development & Administration experience with MS SQL Server with a strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft reporting (SSRS) & query tools and Microsoft Integration Services (SSIS) specifically working with ETL tools & Data Warehouses.
  • Strong understanding of SQL and ability to write complex SQL
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, preferably in Computer Science or Software Engineering and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prefer data management certified, from an industry standard organization or educational institution.
