In Windows 8 the Task Manager came with a new look and an updated new feature. An update to the Task Manager in Windows 8 is intended to provide the user with a quick and easy way to stop or kill un-responsive processes by simplifying the initial pop-up window. In Windows 8 using the Task Manager you can also check the performance of your computer easily. In previous version of windows to open the Task Manager you press "Att+Ctrl+Del" and then select Task Manager but in Windows 8 you can can open the Task Manager simply by right-clicking on the Taskbar and selecting the Task Manager.

In this article we are going to explain how to check the performance of system using the Task Manager. An update to the Task Manager in Windows 8 enables you to easily check the performance of your CPU, network performance, disk performance etc.

How to check the performance of the computer using the Task Manager.

Step 1

Press "Ctrl + Alt + Del" or right-click on the "Taskbar" and select "Task Manager".

Step 2

The Task Manager window will be opened. In this window click on the "More Details" in the bottom-left.

Step 3

In this step go to the "performance" tab. That shows your "CPU Performance".

Click on "Memory" to check the performance of "RAM".

In this step click on "Disk". It shows the performance of the disks.

In this step click on "Ethernet". It shows the performance of the network.
