Adding a New Site in Active Directory Site and Services

Introduction

This article explains how to add a new site to Active Directory Site and Services.

Step 1

First of all open the Administrative Tools from the Start Menu.

In the Administrative Tools a list of Installed Features will be available, in this list an option will be available named "Active Directory Sites and Services", double-click on this option to open it.

Step 2

Now the Active Directory Sites and Service Wizard will open, here on the left pane expand the folder named "Sites", this will show you the sites that already exist.

Now right-click on the "Sites" and choose to "Create a New Site".

Step 3

A new Wizard will open that will ask for the name of this new site, so provide the name for this site and click on the "Ok" button.

The new site creation will take some time to complete, so wait a few minutes, then you will see the new site is added to the Sites Folder.

Step 4

Now we will add a server to this new site. To do that expand this site and right-click on the Server Folder and click on "New Server".

Provide the name for this server and then click on the "Ok" button.

Now you will see that the new server has been added to the Server Folder of the new site.
