I got this weird error and searched a lot on the internet. Then, I found a solution for it. So, I thought to post here, so that anyone can use the following steps to get rid of it.
Follow the below-mentioned steps:
- Run regedit.
- Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server.
- Right click on it and delete.
- You can see, it's deleted from treeview.
- Restart your PC/Laptop.
- After restarting, start SSMS i.e. SQL Management Studio.
- Few messages would pop up. Take action as per your requirement.
- This is how it will run again.
