AppFabric Caching not caching ViewState - SP2013

Question

We have a development server with a standalone setup. Before installing the Cumulative update, the Appfabric caching (distributed Cache) was working properly and it was chaching the view state variable. After the installation of cumulative update, the view state caching no longer works.

The cache service is up and cache reports good health. Has anyone face a similar issue? what should i check for fixing it and making it work as before.
