How to associate confirmation box with two radio buttons ??

Question

please have a look attachment. One submit link button event is associated with two radio buttons named as Update IX and Replace IX. My query is based on only Replace IX. When I check the "Replace IX"  button and followed by clicking on submit link button for replacing earlier history , new confirmation message box should come out like with text details as "Are you sure to delete earlier history ?? and there should be  Yes , No and cancle option on message box ". If I click on yes button then sql delete command should be executed and nothing should not be done with NO and Cancle option. 

Please provide the sql query command for deleting  data from only specific columns from two table  as I mean not whole rows should be deleted.  

Please provide the solution for whole concept which is given.
