How to Print Email From Mail Apps in Windows 8

Introduction

 
In this article we are explaining how to print a document from a "Mail" application in Windows 8. A Metro style Mail application allows user to only access various printing properties and manage many conmon printing options such as paper size and duplex setting, print output done etc. It does not however allow printing the document directly.
 
In a Metro Style Mail application there is no direct option for printing the document. If you want to print the document by the Mail application then you have to use keyboard shortcuts and save the document. After saving the document you can easily print the document by another application.
 

How to print the document by a Mail Application in Windows 8?

 
Step 1
 
Open the "Mail" application by the Metro Start Screen.

After opening the Mail application select your mail that you want to print.

After opening the mail press "Ctrl + P"; a print window will be opened on the right side.

In the print window click on "Microsoft XPS Document writer".

After opening the "Microsoft XPS document writer" window set your printing properties and and click on "Print".

Wait a few seconds; an "File Saved to documents Folder" message will be displayed in the top-right.

Now open My computer and go to the "Documents" folder. Your email document will be there. Open it with the XPS viewer and now you can easily print it.
