Step 1
First, we must move to the Windows 8 Desktop and then press the "Win + W" shortcut key on our Desktop and bring up the "Settings" Search field and type "folder options".

After that select the "Folder Option" on the screen.

Then open the "Control Panel" on your Desktop.

Then click "Folder Options".

When the folder options window opens click the "View" tab, select "Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives" and click "OK".

Now we'll see the hidden files and folders in Windows 8. To verify it worked, press "Win + R" and type: "%userprofile%" and hit Enter.

There we should see the AppData folder that's hidden by default. We can tell which folders were hidden by the faded look of the icons.
