How to access a form contained in a separate folder in c#

hi.

i am developing MIS application in c#, i managed my forms in separte folders e.g (Hostel,students,transport ) these are all folder names in which the corresponding forms are present. but when i want to access the forms by code they are not accessible(visible) TO CODE. so how to access them???

If they are not accessible through code (not from the solution explorer), then the problem might be that you have not imported the namespace.

Usually when you create a folder and add a form inside that folder in Visual Studio, it adds the form in the AppName.FolderName namespace.

e.g. If you add a form Form1 in Hostel folder then it will be in the namespace [YourApplicationName].Hostel

Now when the second form Form2 which is in Students folder then it is in the namespace [YourApplicationName].Students

So if you want to access Form1 from Form2, you have to access either by calling [YourApplicationName].Hostel.Form1 or importing the [YourApplicationName].Hostel namespace (by using directive in C#).

Basically VS intellisense will not show the form directly when they are in different namespaces and you have not imported the namespace.

Huy Sir, i have a problem using visual studio 2010 C#.... I have created a project in C# 2010, but my need is to seprate my forms into different folders and connect it ....help me sir...as early as possible.....!

hello. i am telling about the folder which we create at design time in visualstudion by right click in solution explorer clicking add and than clicking to make a new folder.actually i want to manage my c# application forms in separate folders, folders like(Hrm,Marketing,Accounts etc). the problem is when i place c# application forms in such folders they are no longer accessible to me from outside these folders. e.g in solution explorer. so how to access them. thx.

I am sorry, but your question is very unclear to me. I do not know what you mean by "folder". Visual Studio has folders so I am not sure if you are talking about folders in a VS Solution or if you are talking about filw system folders. I also don't know if you are talking about folders at design-time or folders during execution. I also do not know what you are calling a form.
