Manage USer Permission in sharepoint using REST API

I have scenario that, once user1 submit form and its entry is save into sharepoint list. So user2 cannot access user1 item. User2 can access only his assigned task. How to achieve this with REST API and jQuery

You can simole create a separate view for this in filter you can use [Me] . Then show the same view to logged In User.

Instead of directly querying the SharePoint list object, if we query the SharePoint content search through the REST API, we don't need to explicitly handle the permission, SharePoint automatically internally handle the permission object.

However, you may refer to the below REST code to check the permission through the REST API:

Hi Sayali,

One way to check created by field. If it have user 1 value don't allow user 2.

REST API : site url/_api/web/lists/GetByTitle('List Name')/items?$select Id,UniqueId&$filter=Author eq 'user1Id'
