Mkv to Mp4 Converion using ffmpeg using c# not working

I recently working on webApplication where i need to play the videos capture by the

security camera,so tha i need to convert mkv file mp4 for supporting all browser. I decided to install FFMPEG to convert a MKV(Source file:- https://www.appsloveworld.com/2018/10/sample-mkv-video.html) to MP4 which people say has almost no loss in quality, etc. However, when I try to convert a ~900MB MKV file it returns a 0kb MP4 file.Image

The line of code I use is "ffmpeg -i set.mkv -codec copy set.mp4"

but i'm getting error, you can find below

About converting MKV files to MP4 files using ffmpeg, I found the following two threads that provide good solutions for this:

Note that since you are developing a web-application, you can host the result MP4 media files (after the conversion process) into a server, and then playback them using HTML5 Video Tag as shown here:
https://www.w3schools.com/html/html5_video.asp

If you are still facing issues when converting MKV media files into MP4 format (container), you can try using LEADTOOLS Multimedia .NET convert control that supports converting this type of media files.
For example, the following code shows how you can convert MKV source files into MP4 using LEADTOOLS SDK:
//Declare the convert control
ConvertCtrl Converter = new ConvertCtrl(true);
Converter.SourceFile = @"C:\Temp\Source.mkv";
Converter.TargetFormat = Leadtools.Multimedia.TargetFormatType.ISO;

In addition to @Mario why don't you set the recording format of the security camera to MP4 or AVI (most of the DVR's supports H.264 compression algorithm for smaller file size.

Doing so will reduce the time of converting and you can show the file faster.

OK, sorry to tell you, but you are on the wrong track ....

MKV is a container like MP4 is.

Inside those is one (or more only MKV) Videotracks, one or more Audiotracks, even Subtitletracks ... in this case Track 0 which is H264 Compressed already. Track 1 is the Audio compressed using flac, Tarck 2 is the subtitle ... strange when recording using a camera - maybe timestamp.

The Error tells you, that flac codec is not supported in MP4 - so you need to pick another one ...

ffmpeg -i set.mkv -c:v copy -c:a ac3_fixed -c:s copy set.mp4

You might try this one ... but really it does not change anything with the video quality at all, just changes the container ... and actually MKV is the better container bc it can hold more Tracks and is more reliable than MP4.

For Web you could use to be displayed in HTML5 VideoTag:
MPEG-4: H.264 und AAC
WebM: VP8 und Vorbis
Ogg: Theora und Vorbis
ffmpeg -codecs

will show you how they are named an how they are intended to be used.
