Your Role and Responsibilities

The IBM Sustainability Software business unit is looking for talented and motivated Software Developers to work on building integrations into our products. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with a global team to enhance our industry-leading Asset Management portfolio. From requirements gathering to delivery, you'll be involved in the entire software delivery cycle.

Your Role and Responsibilities Include

• Participate in the design and implementation of sophisticated software systems (front-end and back-end) with a focus on React/Java development.
• Engage in software design and code reviews, ensuring a high level of software quality and knowledge sharing with team members.
• Adhere to professional software engineering practices, utilizing Agile Software Development, Test-Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Source Code Management.
• Contribute to the planning, creation, and execution of automated test cases and load/performance testing.
• Maintain a high level of proficiency in Computer Science/Software Engineering knowledge, fostering technical skills growth within the team.
• Work both independently and as part of an Agile scrum team.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 3+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong Java experience.
• Strong SQL knowledge (DB2, Oracle, or MS SQL Server).
• Experience with Junit and Git.
• Familiarity with Websphere or Weblogic.
• Knowledge of API and Agile Methodologies.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience with Maximo Asset Management/Manage and Maximo Application Suite.
• Familiarity with Open Shift, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Proficiency in Python/Javascript.
• Salesforce experience.
• Basic Linux/Unix knowledge.
