Responsibilities

  1. Inquiry Management. Initiate and respond to inquiries regarding leave and disability events, providing comprehensive information and support.

  2. Holistic Case Management. Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned employees, guiding them through the leave process while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and benefit plans.

  3. Adaptability. Continuously assess and adjust case management plans based on evolving employee needs and changing circumstances.

  4. Issue Resolution. Proactively troubleshoot and address barriers before, during, or after a leave event, ensuring a seamless experience for employees.

  5. Communication. Regularly update employees and stakeholders on case progress verbally and in writing, maintaining transparency and clarity throughout.

  6. Compliance. Ensure adherence to standard work procedures, federal/state regulations, and company policies at all times.

  7. Collaboration. Partner with various internal departments and external stakeholders, including third-party administrators, HR, Legal, and Benefits teams, to facilitate efficient case resolution.

  8. Return to Work Support. Facilitate smooth transitions for employees returning to the workplace, including ramp-back plans and accommodation arrangements.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, HR, or related field OR High school diploma/equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, HR management, case management, or leave & disability management
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with US legislation related to leave of absence, disability, and accommodations (e.g., ADA/ADAAA, FMLA)
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to identify and solve complex issues
  • Excellent relationship-building and influencing abilities in cross-functional environments
  • Prior experience in leave and/or disability claim management, including proficiency with case management systems
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced, dynamic setting
  • Demonstrated discretion and ability to handle confidential information with integrity
