Job Description

As a Test Automation Architect at Infosys, you will define enterprise-level or large program-level automation strategies for our clients using various automation tools like Selenium, Rest Assured, TOSCA, HPMC, UFT, etc. You will be responsible for designing and implementing the best test automation frameworks, reviewing existing automation models, and suggesting enhancements. Additionally, you will define automation frameworks for project/program execution models, enabling our clients to navigate the evolving technology landscape.

Academics and Work Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Alternatively, five years of progressive experience in the specialty may be considered in lieu of each year of education.
  • At least 8-12 years of experience in Information Technology.
  • Tertiary Qualification in IT / Computer Science / related discipline.

Must-Have Skills

  • Experience in defining test automation solutions, designing automation frameworks, and leading the implementation of test strategy, plans, and execution for large-scale enterprises.
  • Expertise in API/Microservices Testing & Automation using Rest Assured, Postman.
  • Proficiency in driving shift left methodologies, Agile, and DevOps.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration (CI) environments, including Configuration, Build, and Release management.
  • Experience with CI/CD processes and tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Bamboo, and BitBucket.
  • Knowledge of industrializing BDD/TDD using tools like Cucumber, Serenity, and Playwright-BDD.
  • Proficient in UI automation tools like Selenium, UFT One, and Playwright.
  • Scripting/development experience (e.g., JAVA, J2EE, PL/SQL, Perl, Shell, Python).
  • Familiarity with unit testing frameworks like TestNG, Junit, and code coverage tools.
  • Experience with collaboration and project management tools such as JIRA, Rally, and ALM.
  • Hands-on experience in Agile environments using CI, with an automation-first mindset.
  • Ability to mentor team members and lead a distributed team of automation testers.
  • Strong stakeholder management and client interfacing skills.
  • Ability to recommend new tools, techniques, and methodologies to enhance productivity and quality.

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to the latest trends in Quality Engineering, such as RPA, Analytics-driven testing, and AI/ML in QA.
  • Knowledge of GenAI tools like GitHub Copilot and their adoption within enterprises.
  • Familiarity with Playwright Automation Tool.
  • Experience with mobile automation solutions like UFT Mobile.
