Some points about Sql Server

1.   Create new database take 3MB memory in hard disk.

1 MB for log file

2 MB for Data file

2.   A table in sql server 2005 can have only one clustered index and up to 249 non  clustered indices.

We can nest store procedure and managed code reference up to 32 level .

4.   Rename a Database

    Syntax:

sp_renamedb  ‘oldName' , ‘newName'

              implementation

sp_renamedb  'RSS' , 'RSS1'

Here sp_renamedb is predefine means inbulid store procedure name. RSS is original database name that will be change and RSS1 is new database name means updated name of original database. Database names should be write in ' ' (single quates).

5.   Rename a Table

    Syntax

sp_rename  ‘oldTableName' , ‘newTableName'

            Implementation

sp_rename 'Articles' , 'Blog'

Here sp_rename is predefine means inbulid store procedure name. Articles is original table name that will be change and Blog is new table name means updated name of original table. Table names should be write in ' ' (single quates).But you are sure here that you are working in that database where Articles exists.

6.     Rename a Column

    Syntax

sp_rename ‘tableName.tableColumnName' ,'newColumnName','Column'

            Implemantation

                        sp_rename 'Blog.Title' ,'Heading','Column'

Here sp_rename is predefine means inbulid store procedure name. Blog is Table    name. Title is column name that in Blog Table that will be change. Heading is   new column name means updated name of Title column. Column represents we are  changing in column name. column names should be write in  ' ' (single quates).
