Disable Start Screen

In the earlier versions of Office, programs always start with a blank page. But in Office 2013 the suite loads from a Start screen. Several users do not like this feature; they want to open directly to a blank document.

In this article I am going to describe how to disable the start screen and open a blank document directly in Word 2013.

Note: When you open Word 2013 it opens with the start screen like:

Step 1

Click over the File button to open the Backstage view.
