Sec Function in Excel 2013

In this article we will discuss how to use SEC function in Excel 2013.

This is a new function introduced in Excel 2013. This is one of the important Math and Trigonometry functions. The syntax of this function is as follows: =SEC(number) . Here we can see that the Secant function takes a number as an argument. This number is the angle in radians of which we want to determine the secant value.

Step 1

Go to Excel 2013.

Step 2

Now choose blank workbook template from the available templates.

Step 3

Now enter the following numbers of which we want to determine the secant value:

Now write the following formula to determine the secant of an angle:

The output will be like this:
