How to Remove Lync 2013 from Startup in Windows 8

If you are running Windows 8, you may be seeing Lync Preview 2013 keep popping up when you start Windows. It is very annoying and it just does not go away.

I tried to uninstalling it using Windows 8 uninstall but it does not work.

So what is the solution?

What you can do is, disable startup option and it will not start again.

Click on Settings icon, click on Tools and select Options.

Select Personal and Uncheck "Automatically start Lync when I log on to Windows" and click OK.

Restart Windows and you should be good to go.
