Prerequisites

Now let's get started with the following steps:

Select WordPress and configure for Azure App Service

Step 1: Sign in to the online Microsoft Azure Portal.

Step 2: In the Jumpbar, click New, then Search for WordPress, and then click WordPress.

Step 3: After reading the description of the WordPress app, click Create.

Step 4:

In the WordPress app account blade, specify the desired configuration for the WordPress app (Name, Database, Resource Group & Legal Terms). Click Create button at the bottom of the screen to create the WordPress app.

Azure App Service creates the web app, typically in less than a minute.

Step 5: In the Web app blade, click Browse.

Step 6: In the WordPress Welcome page, enter the configuration information required by WordPress, and then click Install WordPress.

Then Log in using the credentials you created on the Welcome page and your site Dashboard page opens.
