I am very happy to post the official recap of C# Corner Mumbai Developer's Day held on 24th January, 2015 at Microsoft office Mumbai that is the first under my leadership.

The huge energetic crowd that converged at the venue beginning at 9 AM included developers and company owners. My special thanks to Swapnal sir and Neelesh sir for their support.

All the speakers delivered more of what they promised, they are:

The event began with “Introduction about the C# Corner” by Vithal Wadje. He provided an overview of a who's who of the community, how C# Corner was formed and how today it becomes one of the single largest communities for developers. Also some insight of C# Corner features was provided, like how to contribute and why there is a need for contribution.



After the C# Corner Introduction, the event was kicked off with the first session by Vithal Wadje on “Introduction to ASP.NET Web API”. In his session he explained what the ASP.NET Web API is and how it is suitable for REST based services by creating a sample ASP.NET CRUD application from a database.



The entire conference hall was full in all sessions.



Then Neelesh Vishwakarma explained Windows Phone Development. In his session he explained Windows Phone development and its features by creating a sample hello world application.



The last session by Swapnal Chonkar was on Microsoft and Open source. He provided the latest announcements from Microsoft on open sourcing the .NET. He explained how Microsoft is changing technology now a days and how to work with the Microsoft Visual Studio Community Edition.



Attendees were surprised to learn about the open source technologies of Microsoft.

At the end of the event, questions were asked from the overall session and the attendees were awarded with many prizes.







Once again we would like to thank all the attendees and speakers for making the event a great success. I hope more and more attendees will benefit with future events of the C# Corner Mumbai Chapter. Special thanks to Prashant Shinde, Sharath Shetty and the attendees who came all the way from Pune.
