How to Generate Pie Chart Report in JIRA Tool in Testing

In JIRA the "Pie Chart Report" report displays all relative workload for assignees (to which issues are assigned) of all issues in a particular project.

How To generate a user Pie Chart report

  1. On the top navigation bar, click on the "Projects" drop down. The projects drop-down will display. NOTE: If you click on the "Projects" link instead of the drop-down, the summary page of your current project will display.
  2. Click on the project that you want to browse else click on the "View All Projects" (list of all projects in your JIRA instance will display) and select your project from there.
  3. Click on the "Reports" dropdown menu on the right side of the page and click on the "Pie Chart Report" from the drop-down menu that displays.

  4. Select the project or saved filter for which the user wants to generate a Workload Pie Chart report.

  5. In the "Statistic Type" drop-down list, select the field on which the pie chart will be based. By default Assignee is selected.
  6. Click on the "Next" button to generate the report.

How to Configure your Internet Explorer cache settings

If the user uses Internet Explorer, then he will need to configure the browser in order to print the pages with charts correctly; do that as in the following:

  1. Select "Internet Options" from the "Tools" menu at the top of the browser.

  2. The "Internet Options" window will display. Click on the "Settings" button in the"Temporary Internet files" i.e. cache section.

  3. The "Settings" window will display. Ensure that the user does not have the "Every visit to the page" option selected. If so, select the "Automatically" option instead.
