How to Add File to Apps Library in Windows 8

Introduction

 
In this article we are explaining how to add a media file to an application library in Windows 8; a media file such as Audio, Video or Image. To play a media file using Metro apps we have to import the media file into the Metro application library. If we want to play a media file using the Metro media player without importing the library then an error message is shown; it is: "One more this is once it is close and start next time, the application didn't work.". Because it does not find the media file in the application library.
 
When we import a media file to an application library then it's added permanently. After adding the media file to the library we can easily access it using the Metro media player.
 

How to add a media file to the application library?

 
Step 1
 
Open My computer and click on "Libraries".

In the Libraries window right-click on "Music library" and choose properties.

The Music properties window will be opened; click on "Add".

A new window will open for choosing the folder containing the media file; click on "Include folder".

In the music properties window click on "OK". It will then ask for File Sharing; click on "Yes Share this folder". Wait some minutes for it to copy the media file to the application library.

Now when you go to a Music Application through the Metro Start Screen, all media files will be shown in the music library. To play music choose music and click on "Open".
