Import the Server Authentication Certificate Through IIS Manager

Introduction

There are two ways to import a certificate, one through the Console Root and the other through the IIS Manager. In my previous article I explaind How to Import Certificate through Console Root but this article explains how to import the certificate usng IIS Manager.

Step 1

First of all click on the Start Menu and from there open the Administrative Tools.

Now in the Administrative Tools a list of options will be available, among these options click on the IIS Manager and open it.

Now your IIS Manager Wizard will open, here on the right hand side the Connections Pane will be available, click on the server name.

Now in the Center Pane an option will be available named Server Certificates, double-click on this option to open it.

Step 5

Now this the Page will open, here all the certificates will be shown that are currently working on the system.

Step 6

Right-click on any certificate and choose to Import.

Step 7

Choosing the Import will open a New Wizard, here first provide the name for the Certificate File that you want to import and after that provide the password for that certificate. After that click on the "Ok" button to import the file.
