How to Add Power Query to Excel 2013

Introduction

 
Power Query is one of the most powerful tools available in Power BI. If you are not familiar with Power BI, I recommend going through my introductory article, Introduction to Power BI in the Power BI section of C# Corner.

Excel 2013 is the main UI tool to work with Power BI and Power Query. When you install Office 2013, the Power Query tool is not a part of the default installation. To install Power Query, search MSDN or Google for “Power Query Download” and go to MSDN URL. The current URL is the following:
 
 
You must close Excel 2013 before you can install it.
 
Once you download and install Power Query, you will see the Power Query tab has been added to the Excel tabs.
